Veterans' ceremony, family fun and fireworks at Pittsgrove Day this Saturday
The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a Armed Forces Day celebration that will recognize area veterans of all branches of the military. The ceremony will held at the Veterans Memorial next to the Pittsgrove Township Municipal Building.
Following the ceremony will be the parade at 10 a.m. which starts at the township building and leads to Green Branch Park. Local groups and organizations are invited to make floats or march along with the parade with their friends and family. Vehicles are also still needed.
Welcoming ceremonies will begin at the conclusion of the parade in Green Branch Park. From here throughout the rest of the day until 9 p.m., families can spend the day enjoying various activities.
There will be bands, crafters, information booths, and youth group/non-profit food vendors throughout the event. Also featured throughout the day will be a chicken barbecue, rides, demonstrations of a motor vehicle extrication, and a lawn mower tractor pull. The day will be capped off with a fireworks display.
