BLOG
Everything from high school football teams, church youth groups, and college alumni have used TNT Fundraising, even larger non-profit organizations such as Love Loud Awareness have ran successful fundraising campaigns. Fireworks represent so much in our country today, so just imagine the good things that people will think of your organization when they find out you’re selling beautiful and spectacular fireworks!
You may think that selling sparklers isn’t the best usage of time when trying to organize a fundraiser, but when you get right down to it, most people enjoy bringing in the New Year’s or even the Fourth of July with a bang. Millions of fireworks are sold every year. Just imagine what you could do with that type of money. Taking your students on a field trip would be no problem. Repainting the church’s pews could be done within a week. Using the money to donate to a Children’s Hospital, imagine the difference.
TNT wants to help the communities that have so graciously turned our company into a household name reach their goals, but we need the workers and the opportunities to do so.
Applying for Fundraising is easy. Just go to our website (if you’re reading this blog then you’re probably already there), click on the fundraising link, and complete the contact form. It’s that EASY! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at info@tntfieworks.com.
We hope to hear from you soon! ]]>
Where: Los Angeles County
How Much: $7,000
Benefit: Free sports participation for 250 kids with special needs
Jeanette Gosden is blunt. “We can’t do without our fireworks proceeds – everyone knows it.”
As fundraising chairperson for the Southeast Los Angeles Special Olympics area, she sees what a difference the Special Olympics organization makes in the lives of families and their children with disabilities. On an individual basis, 250 Children find out that they can play sports and succeed.
They also take pride in the shared achievement of the all-girl basketball team in Lakewood. As the Southern California champions of the summer games for eiht years in a row, the team holds a special place in the hearts of many and has been the catalyst for grants and donations.
But still, nothing would be there to backfill the void if fireworks were not sold every year. “The money is used for transportation, equipment and uniforms; it’s a very important source of income for us,” she says. “No one, not one athlete, has to pay a dime out of their pocket to participate – and that means a lot to many, many families.”

]]>Where: Saratoga Springs
Benefit: TNT fundraising sends team to soccer camp
July 16, 2009
Dear TNT,
On behalf of the Lehi High School Girls Soccer team, I would like to thank the Wal-Mart store of Saratoga Springs for allowing us along with TNT Firworks to be able to operate a fireworks stand in their parking lot for fundraising purposes this past Fourth of July holidy.
Many of our players were abl to participate in this effort. As a result, these players were able to earn money that paid for their summer team camp which was held in Cedar City, Utah at Southern Utah University. While at camp we had an amazing week of training, games, and skills competitions. We had 44 girls be able to participate. Our varsity team won 7 of 8 varsity games, outscored our opponents 38-1, and players from Lehi won both the 3 v 3 competition and the the penalty kick shootout.
We are excited about our upcoming season and invite you to come watch one of our home games which are held every Thursday at 4 p.m. from August until October! Once again thank you for helping make this summer a great one for the Lehi High School Grils Soccer team.
Sincirely,

]]>Where: Barrow County
How Much: $20,000
Benefit: Habitat for Humanity homes being build in Barrow County
July 16, 2009
Dear TNT,
Now that the air has cleared from out fourth fireworks ten fundraiser, I would like to let you know how much this fundraiser has meant to our organization. All of the money raised from the fireworks tent goes directly into Habitat for Humanity homes being built in Barrow County. Over the last 4 years, we have raised about $20,00, which goes a long way with a group like ours. Thanks to the help of TNT and Wal-Mart, we are starting our 11th house in Barrow County.
Besides the money that is raised, we receive a lot of visibility from selling TNT fireworks in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Winder. For our county, Wal-Mart is THE place to be. It is probably the most popular spot to go, and it seems like everyone goes there to shop. We’ve had many people tell us that they purposely wait to buy their fireworks until they can buy them from us, and they know we’ll be in the Wal-Mart parking lot each year.
Another benefit of this fund raiser each year is that our Habitat for Humanity families have a chance to earn sweat equity hours, and to work with the volunteers that are helping raise money for their house. It’s a great situation, and we bring together people from different walks of life to pull together for a common cause.
We would like to thank Wal-Mart for allowing us to raise money in their parking lot and supporting work in Barrow County. We also want to thank TNT Fireworks and the efforts of Linda Mackay who makes everything flow smoothly each year. She is great to work withy and does a great job.
Sincerely,
Sally Brown
Barrow County Habitat for Humanity

]]>Where: Fresno County
How much: $15,000.00
Benefit: Sending students overseas for concerts and musical education
A youth in foster care could not afford the “extravagance” of playing a musical instrument until he became part of the Central California Youth Symphony. Not only was he able to travel overseas, but he also played an instrument throughout high school and joined the marching band in college.
Another student played percussion in the symphony, joined tow overseas trips and eventually formed a noted Ska band called the Checkmates. Today he is a music producer in Los Angeles. Yet another student, who went on the first trip ever sponsored by the symphony, is today the Concert Master for the University of the Pacific Symphony.
These are just a few of the tales that fundraiser Vaughn Melcher and conductor Sheldon Schlesinger like to reminisce about when they consider the impact the Central California Youth Symphony has had on dozens of youth. Every two years, the symphony travels oversease to places like China, France, Belgium, Northern Italy, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, to name a few. Fireworks sales underwrite the cost of travel, instruments and much more.
“A lot of schools have had to cut band and orchestra from their programs because of funding problems,” Melcher sayes. “It would certainly put a big hole in the budgets of a lot of youth groups if we didn’t have fireworks to count on.”

Here is what some of your fellow nonprofits had to say about fundraising with TNT Fireworks:

“Everyone benefits from charitable organizations selling fireworks. Families come together for an evening of American patriotism, and nonprofit groups are able to help hundreds of youth in our city at a level they couldn’t otherwise, if at all.”—Pastor Richard Sinclair, Woodland Christian Center
“Fireworks bring in more than double what we make through our concessions, pizza and car wash fundraisers. We’re in a rural area and a lot of families can’t afford to pay for what our annual fireworks sale provides. We don’t wan to refuse any kid who wants to play sports. Our football program keeps our youth off the streets.” – Arlene Ramirez-Moor, donations director, California City Youth Football, California City

This is what one of your fellow nonprofits had to say about fundraising with TNT Fireworks: “For the students who fall between the gap of getting public assistance and having full insurance, we are there to help. Our mission is that there will not be a child in school in Kings County that lacks glasses if they need them – it’s so important to their educational success. If we didn’t sell fireworks, we wouldn’t be able to offer free eye screening and eyeglasses to needy students, and we probably couldn’t fund the scholarships we do now for future vision care professionals.” Jim Gregory, Hanford Breakfast Lions Club, Kings County

Dr. Paul Light, a noted scholar of American government and civil society and professor at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, predicts that 100,000 nonprofits will be forced to close over the next two years.
